About Giving Tuesday

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. It’s a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. GivingTuesday’s global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life.

This year’s event will take place on November 29, 2022.

How do I help?

Our preferred method of Giving Tuesday funding this year is through Facebook or Instagram due to the amazing matching program they provide with fundraisers.

  1. Create a Facebook or Instagram fundraiser and share it with your friends. Creating a fundraiser is easy and we welcome fundraisers with any goal amount. Or…
  2. Share The 4North Project’s Giving Tuesday fundraiser when it is available.

What Projects are funded?

Our medical teams are a collaboration of different skill sets and talents offering free health checks, physical therapy, personal hygiene education and medicine distribution throughout the developing communities.
Dominican students working on a science experiment
The relaunch of our educational camps create workshops, driven by the volunteers, that educate and guide the communities in a positive way.  We’ve offered many workshops in the past from STEAM, dance empowerment programs, sports activities, sustainable gardening, sewing, painting, self-defense courses and much more.
A volunteer painting the side of a house

Our volunteers continue to get their hands dirty by cleaning up trash, painting house and building new bathroom facilities. Our usable water projects also focus on the importance of personal hygiene and the possible spread of viruses.

4North volunteer giving out bag of food to community
We offer sustainable income by buying our food through local markets and hand delivering it to the families in need.
A 4North volunteer performing an exe exam
This unique program has allowed thousands of people to see clearly for the first time. Our approach is simple but impactful to the communities we service. We offer a free exam to each individual and free specs if needed!

Purchase Of Volunteer Van

As our volunteer and supply numbers grow, we are in need of a 12-15 passenger van to continue our efforts.
Dominican children watching a movie

Children’s Movie Night(s)

We continue to offer a very unique cinema experience in local communities by bringing a mobile theatre to the children. They watch a family friendly movie, in Spanish, while they enjoy their free popcorn and candy.

Logistics & Scouting

Traveling throughout the communities and connecting with the people is the core of our efforts. Before our projects and programs are launched, we are building the proper trust and relationships from the beginning.
