A journey for everyone.
Skills4Living is a customizable mission trip in the Dominican Republic that focuses on applying traveler's skills and experiences to the community.
This trip consists of a collaboration of different skill sets, passions and talents offering 3 days of creative workshops driven by the volunteers throughout the developing communities near Bani, Dominican Republic.

S.T.E.A.M in the classroom
Our educators have presented carefully created projects to the students. Projects include S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), Skills For Living, Team Building and much more.
Personal protection
We've focused on teaching young women the importance of self awareness, having a voice, who to trust and fighting back. We have also taken it a step further by mentoring the young men of the community and teaching them the importance of becoming a community leader, not an aggressor.
Dance empowerment
In the past, we have offered dance programs for all ages. Our step by step dance routines not only builds excitement throughout the communities but in empowers the young dancers as well.
Feeding the community
We have walked the food to doorsteps, set up food stations within the community and even taken a sustainable approach by planting fruit trees at the schools. It doesn’t matter the method, 4North will work hard on making sure meals are delivered.
Sports & activities camps
In the past, basketball had been our way of building character and educating young children about the importance of teamwork. We have always felt that we can accomplish more by working together.
Sustainable living
We care about the communities and their future. Our global efforts started with planting mango trees to building small businesses through our micro-financing courses. We also have assisted in small build projects for families and the community.

We will be heading out to the beautiful mountains in Jarabacoa, the adventure capitol of the Dominican Republic. Throughout our adventurous day we will have time to grab lunch at one of the breathtaking mountainside restaurants.

The 4 North Project is an amazing organization focused on improving the lives of others! My daughter and I spent 8 wonderful days working in the communities around Bani, DR. It was an experience of a lifetime! Matt is an amazing host; he provides the right mix of work and fun! He was always available prior to the trip and answered all of our questions. The experience offered the perfect balance of fun and adventure while also providing a sense of accomplishment while working on the numerous service projects. Although the projects were obviously beneficial to the recipients, it was even more beneficial to us as it touched our souls deeply and was most rewarding to be able to help others in such a powerful and sustainable way. The service projects provided a sense of purpose—something bigger than oneself.
4North gave me an experience that I will never forget. We were able to give non-medical eye exams to 50-100 ppl which included free eye glasses to the people. My favorite part of the entire trip was stopping at the calmodos in the villages, interacting with the people and witnessing their daily routine/life. This trip can be customized to any type group. I would do it all over again in a heart beat and can't wait to go back.
It took less than 24 hours from when our plane landed in the Dominican for me to realize the trip I had been dreaming about for over a year was going to be even better than I had imagined. 12 hours after landing in the country, I was paragliding off a mountainside and racing ATVs through the trails. In addition, I was inside a remote village working to provide eye care for 200+ individuals who, until now, never had access to.

- Arrival/ Departure flights must be through Santo Domingo – Las Américas International Airport (SDQ)
- Flights must arrive between 12 – 3pm

- ALL Deposits are REFUNDABLE in the form of CREDIT on a future 4North trip, for up to 1 year after booking date.

*Fundraising will not be applied to your volunteer program fees. All fundraising will be applied to The 4North Project’s general funds for building future projects and programs.
